Information on visa requirement for foreign Citizens entering the Republic of Uzbekistan
In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan foreign citizens and persons without citizenship could enter the country and follow through its territory by transit through its territory by transit only if entry visa is available.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has diplomatic representatives in the following countries: Afganistan, Austria, Azerbajan, Belgium, (jointly with Luxemburg), China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, (jointly with Vietnam), Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, USA (jointly with Canada) and consular Departments in the following cities: Athens (Greece), Bangkok (Thailand), Dubai (UAE), Frankfurt am Mein (Germany), Istambul (Turkey), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Mazzari-Sharif (Afganistan), New-York (USA) (List of Embassies of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad is attached).
Visas are issued the foreign citizens and persons without citizenship at the diplomatic representatives and consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad on the basis of visa support (confirmation of the Ministry for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The consideration period of applications of juridical and physical persons in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs must not exceed 4 working days, excepting a day when application is handed in, observing fixed order by the consulate bureau at the “Tashkent” international airport, but only in case of preliminary agreement of hosting side.
Each citizen of foreign state, during 72 hours upon arriving in Uzbekistan, is obliged to register himself in the Department of visas and registration at place of his residence. The foreign citizens should always have documents confirming availability of visa and registration.
For receiving visa the foreign citizens and persons without citizenship should provide diplomatic representatives or consulate departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad with the following documents:
- Passport, document of person without citizenship, with validity not less than three months; - Filled in visa application form in two copies; - Two photos of 4x5 sm. - Sum of visa fee
Rates of consulates fees are provided for registration and issuance of visas, single-, multi-, and group- visas. The foreign citizen could get all information regarding above mentioned matters at the diplomatic representative offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan in appropriate country.
The Uzbekistan entry visa is not needed for citizens of the following countries of CIS: Azerbajan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Russia and Ukraine.
